Field Safety Supervisors working for Wyoming Casing Service, Inc. are in charge of co-supervising whole crews from a safety and operations perspective. This position also includes auditing work in the field, contacting safety personnel, on call managers or dispatch. Addressing incident/accidents and fulfilling all reporting requirements as well as verifying that all necessary information is received to and from the job site. This position requires 24/7 commitment to ensure the safety of the entire staff. This position reports to the Safety Director and works directly with the Safety Personnel as well as working with the DOT Director and HR Director when their position requires it.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- A Field Safety Supervisor is responsible to make sure that all job operations are following safety, environmental and government directives as well as all standard operating procedures.
- This position requires responsibility for auditing and on-site training or retraining when necessary.
- They must ensure that employees have been fully trained in position requirements.
- All jobs must comply with Wyoming Casing standards from sale to completion.
- They must coordinate with the Chief Operations Officer, Safety Personnel, HR Director and DOT Director to ensure that all parties are aware of any and all issues that may arise with an employee, jobsite or fleet vehicle.
- Work directly with the Chief Operations Officer, Safety Personnel, HR and DOT in regards to on the job accidents that require investigation and recording.
- Supervise the crews while on location to make sure all safety protocols are being followed.
- Ensure Stop Work Authority is utilized when needed.
- Manage employee concerns, complaints and suggestions to ensure they are channeled through the proper management team member.
- Reports directly to the Safety Director and work with Safety Personnel, HR or DOT on any and all concerns that will affect the efficiency or integrity of any contract job.
- Teach, train and conduct safety meetings and safety training if their location requires it due to the absence of senior safety personnel or trainers.
- Administer drug and alcohol testing to employees when proper certification is present.
- Be proactive in the field to assist with equipment issues that may arise.
- Have the knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues while on site.
- Document employee progress by completing Field Performance Reviews as well as Field audits.
- Being proactive in the correction of employee issues as well as directing employees through the proper chain of command.
- Any and all tasks assigned by the Management Team.
